On an occasion of ‘Knowledge Carnival 2017’, CESC (A regional electricity Distribution Company in Kolkata) had organized a seminar on ‘Digital India Customer Experience and Best practices’ and Invited Mr. Umesh Bhutoria to give a presentation on the topic “Digitization, Digitalization and their relevance for Power Utilities”.

While the utility business landscape is changing worldwide, Indian utilities have not invested enough in understanding the consumer’s usage behavior. Indian utilities have to adopt digitization aggressively and the best way for utilities to mitigate risk from external factors is to be a part of it!
